Manuel Melo was on the program ‘Dois à 10’ this Monday, February 16th, talking to Cristina Ferreira and Cláudio Ramos about his participation in the program ‘1ª Companhia’, as he was expelled last night.
At a certain point, when talking about his journey with Commander José Moutinho, where he summarized his personal and professional trajectory, Manuel Melo recalled his mother’s trip to Macau, with the aim of giving her son a better life, assuming that this distance “marked” him.
Following this, and as he also entered the program and left his six-year-old son, Martim, with the aim of also giving him a better life, Manuel Melo was asked by the presenter: “That’s why, maybe, you also get so uncomfortable when your son tells you ‘don’t go, I’ll miss it’, right?”Cristina Ferreira wanted to know.
Faced with the intervention, Manuel Melo could not contain his emotion and burst into tears: “Do you understand? Do you understand? You connected the dots! That’s why it hurts me so much. I’m doing the same thing to you, even if it’s close, but it’s exactly that. The same separation”he said, washed in tears.
