Former goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, convicted of the murder of Elisa Samúdio, stated that he intends to enter politics after definitively ending his sentence.

Currently 41 years old and playing amateur football, Bruno stated in a recent interview that he only intends to apply after completing the remaining period of his sentence, which is still served in a semi-open regime.

According to the former athlete himself, the sentence ends in January 8, 2031. From that date on, he intends to begin his political career.

“There’s no way not to be right-wing,” said Bruno, according to an excerpt from the interview with Radio Itatiaia.

During the conversation, Bruno said that he plans to start his political activities in his hometown, Ribeirão das Nevesin the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.
