The president dispenses with Emilio Viciana and puts Mercedes Zarzalejoo in his place
This Monday, Isabel Díaz Ayuso dismissed her Minister of Education in the midst of a conflict with Madrid’s public universities. This is the first time that the president of Madrid dispenses with a position of this level in this new legislature, in which she has an absolute majority. In this way, Ayuso remodels the person in charge of a portfolio, Emilio Vician, who has not been able to reach an agreement with the rectors on the financing of the centers. Her place will be taken by Mercedes Zarzalejo, a deputy in the Madrid Assembly, as Ayuso’s team officially reported a few minutes ago.
