The attack took place at approximately 10:00 a.m. local time on a busy shopping street in Sydney’s west. A man aged approximately 30 to 40 years died of his injuries on the spot. said the representative of the police of the Australian state of New South Wales Simon Glasser. The other two injured – a 22-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman – were taken to hospital in critical condition.
The perpetrator fled the scene, but the police arrested him shortly after. “The suspect is known to police for petty crimes and multiple mental health incidents,” Glasser revealed. The attacker should appear in court on Tuesday.
