A jewelry store in the Moema region, in the south of São Paulo, was targeted by criminals last Monday afternoon (16). The suspects broke into the establishment, located in a commercial building on Alameda Maracatins, and stole jewelry valued at R$1 million.
The criminals also took crockery, such as platters, plates, as well as a silver cutlery. The Civil Police investigates the case.
According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP), military police officers were called after one of those responsible for the establishment noted that the entrance to the store was damaged and the interior completely overhauled.
The suspects still ripped off surveillance cameras and monitoring system wiring. There were no people at the time the jewelry store was invaded.
“Jewelry valued at approximately R$1 million was stolen, as well as a silver cutlery set, dishes and plates,” reported the SSP-SP.
Os suspects remain at large and the objects have not yet been located. There is no information on how many men were involved in the criminal action.
A The incident was registered in the 27th Police District (Ibirapuera), and an examination was carried out on site. “Investigations continue to identify the perpetrators and clarify all the circumstances of the facts”, added the ministry.
The report sought contact with those responsible for the store, as well as the developer responsible for the building where the jewelry store is located, but has not yet received any feedback. The space remains open.
