The Foundation made available this Monday (23) the archives of the program “Let’s Get Out of the Crisis”, which featured interviews with political, religious and social leaders during the country’s redemocratization period.
The attraction was directed and presented by journalist Alexandre Machado on TV Gazeta de São Paulo, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The “Scenes of Redemocratization” project, coordinated by Machado himself, recovered, digitized and cataloged 126 recordings on VHS tapes. The material will be available on the Fundação FHC YouTube channel.
Also this Monday, at 3pm, there will be a debate at the entity’s headquarters in São Paulo relating the environment experienced at the time to the current scenario.
There will be the presence of writer and journalist Fernando Gabeira and journalist Eliane Cantanhêde, as well as Machado himself. Mediation will be by political scientist Sergio Fausto, general director of the FHC Foundation.
The entity also produced nine mini-documentaries based on the material, structured around themes of democratic transition.
