Don’t Throw Out Grandma’s Old Cabinets: This ‘1990s British Trick’ Transforms Them Without Sanding

I am happy that I got out of the box of the term architect – a lover of concrete and minimalism. I’m grateful for challenges, and among my favorites are country houses that hold tremendous genius loci.

Countryside & style

There is a story behind every design. Either human or house. It is good to listen to him and respect the place, do not forcefully place modern furniture. On the contrary, we often use authentic elements in a new guise. Here, we painted the old beams white, which visually increased the space.

Special emphasis is placed on the floor. Stylish country patchwork on the pavement is the basis. Actually, if the floor is dominant, you don’t need to worry about the furniture, combinations with neutral tones are usually enough.

An interesting element is the sliding door with black fittings and a rail. Their disadvantage is that they are not perfectly soundproof, but if they do not separate the bedroom from the living room, I definitely recommend them.
