WASHINGTON, June 29 (Reuters) – United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that his administration will take immediate action to ensure that Federal Reserve Director Lisa Cook does not make decisions regarding the well-being of the United States.
Trump’s comments came after the US central bank, standing firm in defending the much-prized independence of the US central bank in the face of an unprecedented challenge from the Republican president.
