Corinthians announced the dismissal of coach Lucas Piccinato from the women’s team this Saturday (21), hours after the team drew with Fluminense in the second round of the Brazilian Championship, at Neo Química Arena, even with one more player since the first half.
In the position since December 2023, taking over from Arthur Elias, who joined the Brazilian team, Piccinato won two Brazilian Championship titles and two Copa Libertadores titles, in addition to one Super Cup title.
The coach led the Corinthians women’s team in 101 matches, with 71 wins, 20 draws and 10 defeats, which corresponds to around 77% success.
Recently, the “Brabas”, as the black and white players are known, came second in the Champions Cup, losing the decision to Arsenal, and in the Super Cup, beaten by Palmeiras, on penalties.
Assistant Brenno Basso, goalkeeper trainer Francisco Rodrigues and physical trainer Luiz Guilherme Gonçalves also leave the club.
“Corinthians thanks the professionals for the services provided and wishes them success in their careers,” the club said in a statement.
