As her face spread among Slovaks, they started visiting her profile on the social network and left her comments in Slovak. This interested Gwen until she came across the posts of the Slovak media that talk about this form. The influencer decided to respond to them in the video that you can find above the article.
She revealed to her followers what she learned. “My life is getting weirder and weirder, it’s really really crazy weird. So I just opened Instagram and I started getting all these notifications from different people and they were comments in a foreign language. I say to myself, I don’t know this language, what are they even talking about? And I’m still scrolling and the algorithm is behaving strangely, maybe it’s just showing me to a new audience, great,” she said, whatever came to her mind first.
But she noticed the repeating words. “But one guy’s name kept popping up in the comments. I’m like, who is that? And then I thought – am I in some kind of conflict? Will this make me a star? So I’m going to check it out, I’m going to write a song about it or something,” she joked.
Together, she discovered the aforementioned posts. “Then I see I’m tagged in some Instagram posts, so I’m like, look at this. What’s that supposed to be? Sure, I have no idea what they’re talking about, but my first thought was, damn, did they report me? That’s rude. And then I’m like, wait, what does that even mean? What if it’s bad?” she described what she was experiencing.
She was helped by artificial intelligence, which is currently on the rise. “So I did what anyone would do – I threw it into ChatGPT (artificial intelligence, editor’s note). I had to go for a walk and talk at the same time before it started to unravel or something. And the first thing it wrote was something along the lines of: take a breath, it’s a Slovak news portal or something like that. Whatever they say doesn’t change your femininity or how beautiful you are. You are attractive“, she revealed.
She got scared. “And I’m like, oh my god, is it so bad that ChatGPT is literally trying to convince me not to kill myself? Anyway, they basically say that American influencer Gwen McMullen looks like our Prime Minister Robert Fico. I wanted to put a picture here, but I know someone will throw it in the comments,” she said to her followers.
In the end, she took a sharp dig at the Slovak prime minister. “So yeah, they just put me on some news website saying I look like an old guy. It’s actually a bit humiliating and it’s probably not right to be offended because of this, but I have to say that being mentioned globally is completely adequate. And one more thing – I have more followers than your prime minister and I get more weekly views than the population of your country so maybe the prime minister looks like me, I don’t know” she said teasingly.
