According to the morning, Paulo Borges he boasted, everywhere, that he had a lot of money at home. Furthermore, the drug dealer said he was going to receive a shipment of cocaine.
Five men decided to attack him, thinking they would find a fortune. However, when they arrived at Paulo’s residence, in Almargem do Bispo (Sintra), there was no money or cocaine.
The victim was beaten to deathwith punches and kicks to the head and chest. All this so that criminals can only find a coat, a computer, a ring and earrings. All of this valued at just over 100 euros.
Before leaving the crime scene, with Paulo Borges already unconscious, one of the accused even placed a coat over his head.
The suspects were only caught in 2024, by the Judiciary Police. The CM says that, seven years after the crime, the killers met last week the convictions of between 16 and 18 years in prison.
At issue are the crimes of qualified homicide and robbery.
“The defendants were aware of the state in which they left Paulo Borges and the danger to his life. Even so, they left the place without providing help, knowing well that he was seriously injured, leaving him lying, prostrate on the ground in suffering and alone”, the indictment reads.
