After 17 years, Rush returns to Brazil with ‘Fifty Something Tour’

Disclosure

The band Rush confirmed shows in Brazil in 2027, marking the group’s return to Brazil after 17 years. The new stage of the Fifty Something Tour celebrates the group’s legacy and pays tribute to drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who died in 2020.

The tour had already announced dates in North America for 2026, with great demand and sold-out tickets at several shows. Now, the group expands the agenda to South America and Europe in early 2027.

On stage, founders Geddy Lee (bass, keyboards and vocals) and Alex Lifeson (guitar and vocals) will be accompanied by German drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold.

Recent releases

In 2025, Rush released the anthology Rush 50 (Anniversary Super Deluxe), bringing together different phases of their career. The band is also preparing an expanded edition of Grace Under Pressure (1984), with new mixing and historic live recording.

The group’s last visit to Brazil took place in 2002, when they recorded the iconic live album and DVD Rush in Rio, at Maracanã. The show went down in the band’s history, especially due to the intense participation of the public, including singing instrumental excerpts like YYZ. Now, the 2027 tour marks a reunion awaited by Brazilian fans and reinforces the legacy of one of the most influential bands in progressive rock.
