A woman for an explosion that occurred this Wednesday in a home in El Masnou (Barcelona) for reasons that are being investigated, the Generalitat Firefighters have reported. Another person who was inside the house at the time of the explosion was unharmed, according to sources.
At 6:13 p.m. the Firefighters received the notification that a fire had occurred in a house located on Enric Granados Street in El Masnou and moved eight units to the scene of the event.
The Firefighters checked the property and verified that a fire had not broken out as a result of the explosion, which had affected the façade and partially the roof of the house, an isolated single-family house with a ground floor, without any structural damage.
The teams from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) that also went to the scene of the event verified that one of the two people who were inside the house at the time of the explosion, a woman, had been killed, while the other was unharmed.
The causes of the explosion have not yet been determined and the Mossos d’Esquadra have taken charge of the investigation and the relevant judicial work.
