Mimmo, Venice’s prominent dolphin, needs to be protected from humans

Venice has gained another tourist attraction in recent months: since last summer, a bottlenose dolphin, named Mimmo by locals, has been frolicking between the vaporetti and private motorboats in the San Marco Basin. What is a spectacle for onlookers is now also a concern for researchers – and they are worried about the now quite prominent dolphin.
