The Minister of State and Finance, Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, is under observation at the Hospital de Santa Maria, in Lisbon, SIC confirmed.
Joaquim Miranda Sarmento entered the hospital at 8:30 in the morning due to feeling unwell and will be undergoing diagnostic tests.
At issue will be a suspicion of TIA (transient ischemic attack), often nicknamed “mini stroke” or “initial stroke”, which consists of a temporary, short-term blockage of blood flow to the brain or spinal cord that may be caused by a clot.
