National president of , said in an interview with the channel that he intends to end his career in the future by serving as a councilor in the capital of São Paulo.
“When I’m tired of traveling, of doing regional and national politics, I’ll be a councilor,” he told Rede Câmara SP, without predicting when that will happen.
“People here take care, I’m going to win their election and come back here”, he said, in a good-natured way, on the program “Your Excellency, A Memória”. The interview will air this Thursday (26).
Kassab was a councilor in the city from 1993 to 1995, the beginning of the political trajectory that led him to become a state and federal deputy, mayor of São Paulo and minister.
The program talks to former councilors, and the interviews are expected to be edited into a book to be released later this year.
