Corinthians players took part in an action against racism in the Brasileirão game against Cruzeiro in Belo Horizonte. Upon entering the field, they covered their mouths with their shirts, in reference to the case of Gianluca Prestianni’s alleged racist insult to Vinícius Júnior, which became controversial in the Champions League.
The shirts also had the inscription: “Racism is a crime. Report it”, and the gesture was repeated in the team photo before kickoff, creating strong images that went viral.
