France: Significant difference between extreme right and left, poll shows

Any other party other than the radical, Insubordinate France, 63% of the people would vote in a second round of elections – that is, in a showdown between two candidates -, compared to 45% who, according to the same poll, would vote for any other party except the far-right “National Alarm” party of her and the .

Poll in the shadow of the murder of the young far-right

This follows from the results of a poll by the French institute Elabe conducted on behalf of the television station BFM on February 24 and 25, on a sample of 1004 people. A poll conducted in the wake of the bloody clashes on February 14 in Lyon between groups of members of far-right and far-left organizations, which resulted in the fatal wounding of 23-year-old nationalist Quentin Derank.

According to the French police authorities, among the suspects being interrogated for participation in the bloody incidents are also two former associates of a member of parliament of Insubordinate France, which, however, like all the French political parties, condemned the bloody clash.

When asked if the bloody incidents “worsened your image of Insubordinate France?”, 44% of respondents said yes, compared to 52% who said their opinion of the party had not changed.

According to the same poll, the percentage of voters of the centrist parties (which support President Emmanuel Macron) who say they would vote for any other party than France Insubordinate stands at 81%, compared to 66% who say they would vote for any other party over National Alarm.

As far as the voters of the traditional French right, i.e. the Republican party are concerned, 90% say they are absolutely opposed to Insubordinate France, compared to 31% who say they are absolutely opposed to the National Alarm. Finally, with regard to voters of France’s left-wing parties, 82% say they would vote for any party other than the National Alarm, compared to 30% who say they would vote for any other party but Insubordinate France.
