Winter leaves traces. Dust and sediment settle on the window frames, they also develop yellow streaks, and removing them is not that easy at first glance. A reliable, home-made method using products that each of us has in the kitchen comes to the rescue. They work a hundred times better than detergents that cost a fortune.
Window cleaner will not remove large dirt from window frames. First of all, it will not effectively remove yellow stains. That’s why you need to use a stronger agent, i.e. baking soda, which instantly dissolves sediment, grease and other impurities. What’s more, this kitchen product is completely safe – it does not scratch the surface.
We will enhance the effect of baking soda if we combine it with lemon juice, which whitens and neutralizes unpleasant odors. Thanks to this cleaning paste, window frames will regain their lost white color.
So how to wash window frames with this homemade mixture? It’s very simple. Pour a few tablespoons of baking soda into a bowl and add the juice of half a lemon. There must be quite thick foam.
The paste prepared in this way apply to dirty surfaces using a soft cloth or sponge and rub gently. Leave it for 3 minutes and then wash the window frames with warm water and wipe them dry.

To keep window frames clean for longer, we must wash them regularlynot only during spring cleaning. Therefore, we recommend using a homemade mixture of baking soda and lemon juice at least once a month.
In turn, every week it is worth wiping white surfaces with a cloth moistened with warm water and a bit of dishwashing liquid. Remember not to use rough sponges and strong cleaning milks. Otherwise, we will dull the plastic and it will start to catch dirt faster.
Once every few months, it is worth preserving the seals with silicone spray – this will prevent them from drying out and dirt from sticking. It is also a good idea to always wipe the window frames dry after washing, because water stains encourage dirt to re-deposit.
