Soldeu – Nina Ortlieb narrowly missed her first downhill victory in the Alpine Ski World Cup in Soldeu (Andorra) on Friday. In the first race after the Olympic Games in Italy, the Vorarlberg native was beaten by the Swiss Corinne Suter by just eleven hundredths. While the Beijing Olympic champion celebrated her sixth World Cup victory, Ortlieb returned with a podium finish after two failures in Cortina. The Italian Sofia Goggia came third (+0.24 seconds).
