Vienna – The Latin curriculum group set up by the Ministry of Education is resigning. The reason is “fundamental differences of opinion with the ministry regarding the development of the new curriculum,” according to a release. The group should have presented a curriculum for the planned reduction from 12 to 8 hours per week in the upper school by the end of April. The ministry now wants to develop the curricula with other Latin experts and in-house specialists.
