Vacuum and ventilate it regularly

No way! According to experts, you can clean a misshapen duvet yourself, but you just need to know how. “An ordinary vacuum cleaner can help you with this,” says one of the experts and continues: “If you want to keep the duvet clean, vacuum it lightly every time you change the bedding. In this way, you will rid it of hair, pet hair, mites, but also dead skin cells. After vacuuming, place the duvet out of the window and shake it out thoroughly. She will be clean and fluffy.’

Immerse her in the bath

“You can also wash the duvet by hand, just soak it in a tub with water and a mild detergent. After bathing for several hours, wash the pillow lightly and rinse with water. At the end, squeeze the pillow gently and put it to dry in the dryer. It’s laborious, but at least you’ll save a few kroner,” recommends the expert.

When to rely on an expert

If you have a “treasure” with natural filling at home, you should always consider the degree of contamination. If your comforter is extremely dirty, take it to a professional laundromat where they have high-capacity washers and dryers. Thanks to this, they wash and dry your duvet perfectly.

Attention: “Avoid dry cleaning with natural duvets! “Chemicals can disrupt the layer of dust or wool fillings and thus endanger the quality of the duvet,” concludes the expert.
