The headscarf ban up to age 14, which will apply to all schools in the country after the summer holidays this year, is – to say the least – a challenge. On the one hand, there are the opponents who see anti-Muslim racism and a stigmatization of Muslim girls in the fact that children will no longer be allowed to cover themselves at school in accordance with Islamic traditions.
