Adriana Kneissl couldn’t hide it any longer: After a long time, I’m scared again! Those words give me chills…

Tensions in the Middle East escalated on Saturday (February 28) when Israel, with the participation of the United States, carried out attacks on Iran. Their targets were the residences of representatives of the Iranian regime and the army, AFP reported. Iranian media reported strikes across the country. The explosions could be heard from other cities besides Tehran. According to Reuters, Israel and the US had been planning a joint operation for several months, and the decision to carry out the attack was made several weeks ago. The “initial phase” is expected to last four days.

Iran immediately retaliated and attacked Israel and US bases in the region. Explosions were recorded in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. Less than 24 hours after the first attack (Sunday around 02:30 CET) Iranian state media confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and vowed retaliation.

The situation in South-West Asia and its surroundings is not indifferent even to Slovaks, who come to these countries for recreation and business, and many of them have even moved there. Former presenter and popular confectioner Adriana Kneissl is also unhappy about the worldwide tense situation. “It’s just that the world has moved too much….. Too many wars. After a long time, I’m afraid again,” she wrote on Instagram. PHOTO can be found in the gallery!

Another conflict comes at a time when the world commemorated the 4th anniversary of the beginning of the war in Ukraine just a few days ago. It began in full on February 24, 2022, when Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a “special military operation” against Ukraine. The war between Ukraine and Russia is the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II. In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the European Union, NATO, and the United States and other countries imposed extensive sanctions on Russia and began providing Kiev with military, financial, and humanitarian aid.

The United States has resumed negotiations for a 2025 ceasefire. However, they have not yet led to the cessation of fighting and attacks. Russia currently occupies almost 20 percent of Ukraine’s territory, attacking cities, villages and civilian infrastructure on a daily basis, resulting in the worst energy crisis since the beginning of the invasion.
