Antonio José Insurance takes office exactly one week from now, on March 9th, and his first choice for the future team in Belém has been revealed: Manuela Teixeira Pinto.
The name will be announced this Monday on the radio. Manuela Teixeira Pinto will be diplomatic advisor of the Civil House of Belém.
In a phase of war, with diverse political, economic and military tensions on a large scale, António José Seguro chooses a person with experience in NATO.
The future diplomatic advisor was at the Portuguese Permanent Delegation of the Atlantic organization between 2018 and 2022. She was at the Portuguese Mission in HIM.
He has a degree in International Relations from the University of Minho; and a postgraduate degree in European Studies from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
It has been diplomat career. In the last 4 years, he became Deputy Permanent Representative of Portugal to the European Union (MARK).
Manuela Teixeira Pinto worked at international organizations in Geneva, at the Embassy of Portugal in Warsaw and at the Permanent Representation of Portugal at the UE.
In Portugal, he was a member of the Government in the second term of Joseph Socrates while Prime Minister: he was chief of staff to the then Secretary of State for European Affairs, Pedro Lourtie, and chief of staff to the secretary general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
