Renato Gaúcho thanks Vasco and Santos for their interest and says: “Time to rest”

After days of conversations with Vasco, which did not result in an agreement due to salary issues, Renato Gaúcho used social media to thank the Rio club, as well as Santos, who also showed interest in counting on the former Grêmio coach.

In a publication, Renato Gaúcho wrote: “I want to thank the directors of Santos. We’ve had great conversations over the last few days, both projects are very good, but my family and I understand that it’s time to rest. The year was very exhausting and we need to recharge our batteries. I was very happy to have been approached by two of the biggest clubs in Brazilian football. Once again, thank you very much.”

this was the coach’s fourth spell at the Porto Alegre club. In two years and three months, he led Tricolor in 141 matches, with 70 wins, 31 draws and 40 defeats. During this period, he won two Campeonato Gaúcho titles.
