On Tuesday, the Israeli army called on the representatives of the Iranian regime, who are still staying in Lebanon, to leave within 24 hours, otherwise they risk becoming the target of attacks by the Israeli army. This was stated by one of the spokespersons of the Israeli army, Avichaj Adrai, The Times of Israel (TOI) news website reported.
In an unusual statement, the Israeli military pointed out that “will not tolerate the presence of representatives of the Iranian terrorist regime in Lebanon.” He gives to his representatives 24 hours to leave. After this period has expired “there will be no safe place for representatives of the Iranian regime in Lebanon. The Israeli army will attack them wherever they are,” added Adrai spokesman.
The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, on Tuesday, during a visit to the soldiers of the air defense battalion, reiterated that by attacking Israel and thus also engaging in the military conflict in Iran “Hezbollah made a very serious mistake.” However, according to Zamir, the armed forces have prepared for this development of events and are now attacking Hezbollah “with very great power.” He emphasized that the Israeli army is determined “to eliminate the threat of Hezbollah” and will not stop “until this organization is disarmed.”
Zamir stated that the Israeli army “operates simultaneously in two arenas”in Iran and against Hezbollah in Lebanon. He clarified that they are the two main enemies of Israel, who have a lot in common, especially the so-called axis of resistance connecting Iran with its allies in the Middle East region. At the same time, he informed that Israeli fighter jets and drones in Iran search for launchers and neutralize them in order to reduce threats to the home front – the civilian population and the territory of the state outside the battle lines. which are also exposed to rocket, drone or other attacks.
The army said on Tuesday evening that it had neutralized most of the rockets that had been fired from Lebanon at Israel. He has been carrying out these attacks since Monday the Hezbollah movement in retaliation for the death of Iran’s spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who lost his life on February 28 as part of the Israeli-American attacks on Tehran. In retaliation, the Israeli army launched its intensive strikes on southern Lebanon, the Bikaa Valley and the southern suburbs of Beirut. Both sides continue to attack on Tuesday.
