The decision to re-arrest the owner of , , this Wednesday (4), was taken because messages were found on the businessman’s cell phone that cited an attempted robbery against a journalist as a form of intimidation. The journalist’s name was not revealed.
The banker was preventively arrested (without a specific time) in a new phase of Operation Compliance Zero. The order came from the minister, from the (Supreme Federal Court), rapporteur of the investigations into the Master case.
Mendonça had been evaluating the decision since last Friday (27). The information is that he has received little material from the PF so far.
In the material received by Mendonça, there is no indication of involvement by Vorcaro’s lawyers in the scheme to threaten the journalist.
There is also no mention of Vorcaro’s links with Dias Toffoli or Alexandre de Moraes.
