Homemade can be as good as ready-made products from store shelves. They even outperform them thanks to natural ingredients and the lack of chemical additives.
If we only have a bit of time and willingness, we can make, for example, a home-made strengthening hair mask. It is worth doing this, especially if they fall out, are dull and brittle. How to prepare a mask that used to be a hit among women?
A herbal hair mask can strengthen, nourish and stimulate hair growth. It is worth introducing a similar home treatment to stop hair loss and provide it with the necessary nutrients.
To prepare the mask, we will need rosemary or nettle, castor oil and onion. It’s best to do it rosemary infusionbut you can also use essential oil. As for the onion, you can successfully use the red one. It is milder and richer in sulfur compounds.
Mix the juice of half an onion (or one smaller onion) with two tablespoons of rosemary or nettle infusion and one tablespoon of castor oil. Apply the ready mixture to the scalp (not the hair itself) and leave for 20 minutes. If we prefer to use rosemary essential oil to make a herbal mask, the required amount is 3-5 drops.
It’s best to keep them slightly moist when applying the herbal mask. After application, it is worth putting on a plastic cap and a towel, because the heat facilitates the penetration of nutrients into the skin. When 20 minutes have passed, wash your head with your favorite shampoo.
The mask should be used 1-2 times a week. You can leave it on your hair longer – up to 2 hours. It has an intense scent, so after shampooing your hair, use a pleasantly scented conditioner to eliminate it.
It is better not to expect results after a week of use. The treatment must take time – you may have to wait up to 3 months for the first new hair. However, it is a way to naturally strengthen the hair and nourish the scalp. Rosemary is known for its ability to stimulate microcirculation, which will nourish the hair follicles and help stop hair loss.
