The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continues to expand its impact on diplomatic and civilian targets. The Government of Qatar announced this Thursday the evacuation of residents living near the United States embassy in Dohaa preventive measure adopted after in several Gulf countries.
He Qatari Ministry of the Interior reported in a statement published on the social network X that the decision was made “within the framework of maintaining public safety.” As he explained, the authorities are moving the residents of the area as a “temporary preventive measure.”
“They have been provided with adequate accommodation as part of the necessary preventive measures”added the official message.

On Monday, the American embassy in Riad was hit by two drones, which caused a small fire and minor material damage to the building, although without causing casualties, as confirmed by the Saudi authorities.
A day later, a new attack took place in United Arab Emirates, when a drone hit the surroundings of the American consulate in Dubai, causing another fire with no injuries.
Washington accelerates the evacuation of its citizens
In parallel with the increase in tension, The United States has begun to evacuate its citizens present in the region.
The State Department reported this Wednesday that the first flight chartered by the President’s Administration Donald Trump has already left the Middle East with a group of Americans who were in different countries in the area.
The US authorities did not specify the departure airport, although they confirmed that more flights are being prepared to evacuate thousands of citizens in countries such as United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or Israel. The departure of the first plane arrives after the White House received strong criticism for the slowness in activating the evacuation plan.
Secretary of State, Marco Rubiodefended on Tuesday before the Senate that operations were suffering delays due to the closure of airports and airspace in several Gulf countries, caused by constant drone and missile attacks in the region.
