Israel Defense Forces launched troops into a city in the south of the country on Friday night (6.Mar); war in the Middle East reaches its 8th day
At least 16 people died in Israeli bombings in Lebanon throughout Friday (March 6, 2026). The (Israel Defense Forces) carried out an airborne operation, which dropped troops into a city in the east of the country, residents and Lebanese state media said this Saturday (7 March).
A spokesperson for the agency told the agency that this number is expected to increase. Two security sources told Reuters that 3 Army soldiers were among the dead.
Lebanon plunged further into the conflict that is ravaging the Middle East, when, on Monday (2 March), the extremist group, supported by Iran, responded with intense bombings in the south, east and near the capital.
During the night of Friday (6 March), Israeli helicopters landed troops near the city of Nabi Chit, in the Bekaa Valley, in eastern Lebanon, according to reports in Lebanese state media. Residents and Hezbollah fighters opened fire on the troops as they moved on foot, according to the reports.

CLIMBING IN TENSION

Trump’s statements were made while dealing with Iran, which did not result in an agreement.
A senior Iranian official told Reuters that the country if the Americans recognized its right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes and lifted economic sanctions.
