Tarcísio’s management in SP is excellent or good for 45%, says Datafolha

Results indicate an improvement in the evaluation of the governor of São Paulo; the margin of error is 2 percentage points

The administration of the governor of São Paulo, (Republicans) is considered “excellent or good” by 45% of São Paulo residents. Another 31% rated it as regular and 20% as bad or terrible. A portion of 4% had no opinion. The research is from the company Datafolha and was released this Sunday (08.mar.2026).

The results indicate an improvement in the evaluation, according to Datafolha. In April 2025, the date of the previous survey, 41% considered management to be excellent or good. The increase was 4.4 percentage points in 1 year.

There was a drop of 2 p,p among those who considered it “regular” compared to 2025 – it was 33% and increased to 31%. The same decrease of 2 pp was recorded among those who rated the government as bad or terrible: from 22% to 20%.

The survey also asked whether respondents approve or disapprove of the government. Of the responses, 64% said they approved and 30% disapproved. Another 6% were unable to answer.

Datafolha also carried out research on voting intentions. Tarcísio leads all 1st and 2nd round scenarios.

The company carried out 1,608 interviews, in 71 municipalities in São Paulo, between March 3 and 5, 2026. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, with 95% confidence. The research is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court): BR-06798/2026 and SP-04136/2026. The study cost R$185,706.64 and was paid for by Empresa Folha da Manhã SA, the nucleus of Grupo Folha.
