“Iran’s current actions towards our countries are not a sign of prudence or interest in avoiding a spiral of escalation in which Iran would be the biggest loser,” the ministry said in a statement.

The Department of Diplomacy rejected Saturday’s words of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkiyan that Iran has stopped its attacks on the Arab states of the Persian Gulf.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirms that the Iranian side did not implement this statement in practice, neither during the speech of the Iranian president nor after it. Iran continues its aggression based on flimsy pretexts without any factual basis,” the Saudi Ministry of Diplomacy stated. It added that its attacks constitute a flagrant violation of international charters and international law.
The ministry called Tehran’s claims that Saudi Arabia has allowed foreign fighters and refueling planes to operate from its territory. It claims that these planes are involved in protecting the airspace of Saudi Arabia and countries associated with the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) against Iranian missile and drone attacks.

Several explosions were heard in the Qatari capital of Doha on Monday night, AFP journalists reported. Qatar’s defense ministry said air defenses responded to the missile and drone attack. According to the Ministry of Defense, Kuwait was also attacked on Monday night by rockets and drones. Seven missiles and five drones were fired at Kuwait on Sunday, the Defense Department added.
