Asked about the possibility of a truce, the spokesman replied that as long as attacks on Iran continue, there is no point “talking about anything other than defense and retaliation” against Iran’s enemies. According to him, the US has launched a war, while the Iranians have fully engaged in diplomatic negotiations. Bakayi says Iran is doing everything to ensure security and provide all the necessary protection to more than 100 diplomatic missions in the Islamic Republic. The spokesman at the briefing also denied that the Iranian army was responsible for the attacks in Azerbaijan, Turkey and Cyprus.
