The member of Enhypen, Heeseung24, together with Enhypen’s management company, Belift Lab, announced their departure from the group this Tuesday (10). Through statements published on the social network Weverse (Korean fan page) and on X (formerly Twitter) by the company, confirmed the end of the contract with the group, making him a solo artist.
Debuting in 2020, Enhypen was originally seven members. They released their first song, “Given-Taken”, part of the EP “Border: Day One”, and, since then, they have established themselves in the South Korean pop industry.
In the first note published by Belift Lab, they talked about the continuity of the group, now with six members: “We gave great consideration to the future direction and goals of Enhypen. In deep conversations with each of the members about the future they want and the direction they see as a team, it became clear that Heeseung had his own musical vision and we decided to respect him. With this, Heeseung will be separating from Enhypen, and Enhypen will continue its official activities as a group of six members”, they pointed out.
“Heeseung will be preparing a solo album as an artist under Belift Lab. We asked Engenes [nome dado às fãs] May they continue to give love and support Enhypen and Heeseung on their journeys”, they conclude.
Shortly afterwards, the former member published a letter to his fans on Weverse, clarifying what had happened: “As you know, I have been carrying out my individual works and I have dedicated a lot of time hoping to be able to show them to you. Although there was a lot that I wanted to show, I also had the feeling of not wanting to put my own.”
“I know your concerns and diverse stories well. I will be preparing hard to meet you again as soon as possible. My desire to return with a better image is more sincere than anything else”, he concludes and thanks the fans for their love, promising good work in the next steps.
