Research by Ampere Analysis says that the main leagues on the continent already have 181 contracts in force
European women’s football recorded 53% growth in exclusive sponsorships, according to data from . The research indicates that, since the 2022/2023 season, the main leagues on the continent have already reached 181 contracts of this type.
The upward trend in brand interest was recorded in almost all major European leagues, with the exception of France’s Première Ligue. Italy’s Serie A Femminile recorded the biggest jump, with an increase of 600%. Next comes Liga F, from Spain, with an increase of 79%, and the Frauen-Bundesliga, from Germany, with 69%.
In the 2025/2026 season, the market already counts 677 joint sponsorships in the 5 main European leagues, which represents an increase of 47% compared to 2022/2023.

The Ampere Analysis survey shows that 17% of sports fans in the 5 main European markets currently follow women’s football teams. The number represents 21% growth in consumer interest since the 4th quarter of 2023.
The clubs that see the greatest expansion in their fan bases are those that manage to capitalize on the market’s momentum. Teams with recent positive results on the national or continental scene, such as Arsenal Women, Chelsea Women and FC Barcelona Femení, are among the 15% of teams with the greatest growth in attracting sponsorship in the 5 major European leagues.
