Double of Prime Minister Robert Fico, American influencer Gwen McMullenis enjoying the attention from our corners on social media. The influencer adapted her content to a new wave of fans from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. When we are on the portal at the end of February, they wrote about Gwen for the first time, she had 182,000 followers on the Instagram social network. Less than three weeks later, this number grew to an incredible 227,000 followers.
Gwen began to refer to herself as the queen of Slovakia, and her supporters quickly began to use this epithet as well. Comments in Slovak abound under the posts, and the influencer even writes captions on social networks in Slovak. Her foreign followers blame her for it. “Gwen, we in the US still need your descriptions to be in English,” Mel told her.
At the end of February, Gwen posted a video on the social network in which she was sitting on a private plane. “On my way to Slovakia! It’s an honor to be your new queen. See you soon,” she wrote. The followers were excited, but it did not arrive in Slovakia. Since then, comments regularly appear under her posts asking when she will finally visit us.
The influencer was already looking for real estate in Slovakia. And not just any. Gwen was looking at castles and chateaux in our territory. Bojnický castle was pleasing to her eye, but also Betliar and Humenský manor. As she revealed in the video, her preferences are also determined by the environment in order to have the best possible light for filming.
On Monday, March 9, the American woman again shared images from a private plane with her followers. She had small Slovak flags in her hand and a crown next to her. “I carry Slovak flags for everyone,” Gwen wrote alongside the plane shot. PHOTO can be found in the gallery. It really looked like the influencer was heading to Slovakia.
A day later, on Tuesday, March 10, Gwen posted a video of herself standing in front of a quaint house. “I thought I was going to Slovakia… But somehow I ended up on a wellness stay in Tennessee,” she revealed to her fans where her steps were headed. The followers wished her to rest, but they again urged her to come to Slovakia.
Gwen does not forget her fans from Slovakia even on vacation. “To make me feel more at home during my wellness stay,” she wrote about the images that you can find above the article. She folds a flag stand on them and displayed the symbol of Slovakia in front of her temporary home. It got the followers excited. “So it’s golden. I admit, it slowly does more for us than the entire government in x years,” follower Veronika commented teasingly on the footage.
