Former president Zuzana Čaputová and former activist and communications consultant Juraj Rizman worked as a harmonious couple for years. The public expected that their wedding bells would ring out of nowhere, but instead, the breakup came like a bolt from the blue. The end of the more than six-year relationship was confirmed by the couple for the daily.
“Yes, it is so, despite our sincere efforts to find a solution and after long conversations, we have decided, with mutual respect, to end our partnership,” they stated in a joint statement.
“Nothing bad has happened between us – don’t expect any scandals or drama. We are extremely grateful for all the years together, for all that we have taught each other and for the love that we have shared. Our lives remain connected, but from now on ‘just’ as friends.” We understand that this may raise many questions, but we would like to sincerely ask you to respect our privacy,” the former partners added.
Čaputová and Rizman were not among the couples who display their relationship for admiration on social networks. They both prefer to promote their work on Instagram, and therefore no one found it suspicious that they had not posted a joint picture for a long time and were only showing each other alone.
The former head of state published the last photos with Rizman in January. Side by side, they enjoyed a tour and explanation in the beautifully restored castle of the Kinski family in the Czech Kostelec nad Orlicí. “A unique place where a descendant of the family, Mr. František Kinský, guided us. It was a great experience to listen not only to facts, but also to the direct memories of a family member about the history of the place and family.” wrote Čaputová at the time.
Looking at the profile of Post Bellum’s director of communications and public relations, we also find a later post. Unlike the ex-president, in February he published joint photos from the commemoration of Ján Kuciak and Martina Kušnírová, which took place in Pezinok. You can view the mentioned shots in the photo gallery.
