He Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenskybelieve that Russia is isolated in Europe and that the war in his country seems to be slowly changing in his favor, due to the Kremlin’s loss of initiative.
“We cannot say that Russia is losing this war, but we can say that it is losing the initiative day after day“Zelensky stressed in an interview with the British newspaper The Guardian published this Tuesday.
In the last week, Long-range Ukrainian drones have attacked St. Petersburgwhere crude oil terminals have been set on fire, while there were similar attacks in occupied Crimea.
Zelensky stated that the goal of these long-range attacks is for residents to “feel” what war means.
“Victory in this war will be achieved when Russian society recognizes that war is terriblewhich is a tragedy not for someone somewhere, but for themselves. And I think this is the push we need,” he said.
According to Zelensky, The Kremlin is losing more than 30,000 soldiers a monthof which some 23,000 have died and the others are seriously injured, but he suggests that the number may be higher.
“In short, it is a very high number. It means that they are not winning the war,” he said.
