The largest Czech-Slovak organization OKTAGON MMA was founded in 2016. The organization operates in three European combat sports markets – in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany, where it has experienced extremely successful expansion. The world of MMA has now been hit with extremely sad news. Wrestler Ibrahim Cholo, who appeared in OCTAGON in 2022, died in an accident. writes .

Cholo died on Sunday, March 8, aged just 28, in an evening car accident in North Rhine-Westphalia. Ivan Dijakovic, co-owner of the well-known Dusseldorf gym UFD, confirmed that Cholo was the victim of the accident.

Several combat sports stars have already published their condolences. “28 years. He woke up not knowing he woke up for the last time. You were a good man brother. Death truly knows no age or time.” Octagon star Tamerlan Dulatov sent him a message to heaven on the social network. FNC champion Lom-Ali Eskiev posted a joint photo with Chol with a broken heart symbol. Boxing champion Agit Kabayel also added a joint photo to his profile.

According to police reports, on Sunday evening around 9:15 p.m., just a few kilometers before Wuppertal, Cholo skidded with his BMW. He was supposed to overtake his own brother in the corner. The vehicle was then supposed to crash into the wall of the house on the driver’s side.

After the collision, the vehicle’s automatic emergency system was activated, sending an SOS signal. However, the called rescuers could only establish Chol’s death. It is especially sad that Cholo was the father of a two-year-old daughter and his wife is currently pregnant for the second time.

Cholo was part of the OKTAGON Challenge a few years ago. In this competition, where well-known fighters Christian Eckerlin, Stephan Pütz and the brothers Martin and David Zawadov worked as coaches, 8 talents fought for the opportunity to enter the cage at the first ever Octagon event on German soil.

Although Cholo didn’t win the show, he still performed at the OKTAGON 33 tournament in the Frankfurt Festhalle. There he lost on points to Jaime Cordero. After this match, Cholo (balance 4 wins, 2 losses) did not have another fight.
