All you need is one popular ingredient from the kitchen and a small fabric bag

We are talking about coffee beans, which not only stimulate you in the morning, but can also act as a natural air freshener. Their aroma is deep, elegant and many people associate it with the smell of luxurious perfumes. Importantly, it lasts a long time and does not need to be renewed often.

Natural fragrance for your home for pennies

Coffee beans have an intense, characteristic aroma that is gradually released into the surroundings. That’s why they are often used in perfumeries to help “reset” the sense of smell when testing fragrances.

The same trick can be used at home. All you need is a handful of fresh coffee beans and a small cloth bag – preferably cotton or linen.

How to do it?

  • Pour a few tablespoons of coffee beans into the bag.
  • Tie it or close it with string.
  • Place it in the place where you want to get a pleasant scent – on a shelf, chest of drawers or windowsill.

After a short time, a delicate, elegant aroma will begin to fill the room.

It works not only in the living room

Such a coffee bag can be used in many places around the house. Among other things, it will work:

  • in the living room, as a subtle air freshener,
  • in the bedroom, where it will create a cozy atmosphere,
  • in the wardrobe – helps neutralize unpleasant odors,
  • in the bathroom, where it will replace chemical fresheners.

Importantly, coffee beans also absorb dust, making the room not only smell nicer, but also feel fresher.

No need to replace often

The big advantage of this solution is durability. Coffee beans can remain fragrant for up to several weeks. When the aroma begins to weaken, simply crush them slightly or replace them with fresh ones.

This makes it a cheap, ecological and very simple solution. No electricity, no chemicals and no artificial fragrances.

So if you want your home to smell like an elegant cafe or luxurious perfume, try this simple trick. All you need is a small bag, a handful of seeds and a suitable place in the room – the rest will do itself.

Put it on the radiator in the evening. In the morning the whole house will smell wonderful

In spring and summer, fresh flowers can be used as aromatherapy at home. In winter the situation is slightly different. Many people buy electric and chemical air fresheners in the winter, forgetting about the obvious helper. When the radiators are turned on and heated, they provide the perfect transfer of scents. Essential oils are activated by heat. In Poland, the heating season lasts until the end of March. So you can use the heat support from radiators for less than a month. To enjoy a pleasant smell at home, just spread natural scents on the radiator. Bay leaves are the most recommended. Their scent is great for reducing stress and improving your well-being. In the winter, a slice of dried lemon or orange is also great. To make the scent even more festive, you can stick cloves into the oranges.

The scent of orange has calming and tension-relieving properties. It helps regenerate sore muscles and improves rest. The orange scent additionally repels insects, including mosquitoes and midges. In turn, the aroma of cloves perfectly relieves tension, and thanks to the eugonol content, it has antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Dip it in this and put it in the closet. A natural fragrance that will make your clothes smell beautiful

Choosing an outfit every day can be a ritual. If you take care of a beautiful scent in your wardrobe, your senses will be pampered in the morning. Putting on nice-smelling clothes can be part of your daily aromatherapy and will make you feel better. The scent of wardrobes should not be too intense or irritating. Some essential oils may cause irritation or even allergy. Well-chosen wardrobe perfumes must gently envelop your senses and improve your mood. To make a home fragrance for your wardrobes, prepare a glass bowl and pour 150 g of baking soda or uncooked rice into it. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and place the bowl in the closet. Baking soda and rice have absorbent properties and will gradually release the scent of essential oils.

You can also create a hanging scent for a wardrobe with a rail. Place cotton wool previously soaked in essential oils or your favorite perfume on a small wire. Install the cotton wire on a clothes hanger. This way, a pleasant aroma will float around the inside of the wardrobe and refresh your clothes.
