Russia says 8 doctors killed in Ukrainian attack in Donetsk region

MOSCOW, March 12 (Reuters) – Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Thursday that eight doctors were killed and 10 people injured in a Ukrainian drone attack this week on a medical facility in Ukraine’s Donetsk region.

There was no immediate comment from Ukraine.

Reuters was unable to independently verify the incident. The Russian ministry said the incident occurred on Tuesday in the Donetsk region, which is mostly controlled by Russian forces, but did not provide the exact location.

‘This facility was never used for military purposes, and its deliberate destruction by the Kiev regime constitutes a gross violation of international humanitarian law and human morality,’ the ministry said.
