The Iranian agency refutes reports of the death of the widow of the former supreme leader Khamenei

News of the death of the late Ayatollah Khamenei’s wife was premature. Iranian media now claim that the widow survived the attack.

The widow of Iran’s former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is alive despite reports of her death earlier this month. The information was brought by the Iranian Fars agency, writes TASR.

Iranian media reported on the death of Mansoura Khojasta Bagerzadeh on March 2. They wrote that she died as a result of injuries sustained during the initial US-Israeli attacks, which also hit Khamenei’s family residence. Other members of the Ayatollah’s family also lost their lives.

Khamenei’s death confirmed

On March 1, the Iranian leadership confirmed that Khamenei had been killed during the US-Israeli attack on Iran. One of his daughters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and granddaughter perished with him. According to available information, other family members, including his widow, were taken to a safe place under armed protection.
