Ratinho Jr. rules out advancement as Flávio Bolsonaro’s vice president

Governor of Paraná fulfilled his agenda in Londrina and spoke about the meeting with senator Rogério Marinho.

The governor of Paraná, (PSD), stated this Thursday (March 12, 2026) that there is no progress towards a composition as vice-president of the senator (PL-RJ) in a possible candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic.

In Londrina (PR), alongside local leaders linked to the PSD, Ratinho Jr. confirmed that he had spoken with the senator (PL-RN) about the political situation, but denied that the possibility of being vice-president had advanced.

No. What we had was a conversation with former minister Rogério Marinho, senator, who is someone I like. I lived with him when he was also a minister and I have a good relationship. We talked a lot about politics in Paraná, the current situation, but at no point was there this type of progress”, he stated.

He then stated again that the PSD will have its own candidate in the 1st round, as the party’s national president has already announced.

If there is going to be a candidate, it is obvious that I have to work within this composition, to be an alternative for Brazil”, concluded the governor of Paraná, son of presenter Ratinho.

To be eligible for a possible candidacy, Ratinho Jr. needs to leave his position by April 4th. The PSDB brought forward the definition of who the party’s candidate for President will be to March 31st. The previous deadline was April 15th.

The party intends to decide this before“, said Ratinho, in reference to the PSD’s three options for a pure ticket. The list is completed by the governor of Goiás and the governor of Rio Grande do Sul.

Regarding the government of Paraná, Ratinho Jr. defended the continuity of state management when asked about his succession. He said he will look for a name that represents the legacy of his administration and cited as possible candidates the secretaries Guto Silva (Cities), Sandro Alex (Infrastructure) and Beto Preto (Health), in addition to deputy Alexandre Curi and former mayor Rafael Greca.
