Flávio will speak at a conservative event in the USA – 03/12/2026 – Politics

The senator (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency, was announced as one of the speakers at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), which brings together the main names on the global right and ultra-right, in the .

The event should be attended by the president of the USA, from whom Flávio seeks support in the election against (PT) in October. The conference will take place in Texas, between March 25th and 28th.

The senator is still evaluating whether he will participate in person or via videoconference. This month, he has a series of trips around the country related to the pre-campaign, including Rondônia, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and São Paulo.

Last year, the former deputy (PL-SP), where he attacked the minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), and asked for prayers from his father, (PL). At the same event, , former Trump advisor, .

In this edition, in addition to Trump and Bannon, former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss, Senator Ted Cruz and other names from the American right are also expected.

Eduardo has guided Flávio on international trips to build a foreign far-right articulation. The former congressman moved to the United States a year ago claiming to have suffered persecution in Brazil and .

In addition to the United States, Flávio was in the Middle East, in France and, this week, he went to Chile for the inauguration of right-wing José Antonio Kast. In the coming days, the senator is expected to meet with Darren Beattie, an advisor to the State Department, who will visit Brazil for commitments linked to the Brazilian electoral process.

Beattie asked Alexandre de Moraes to visit (PL), who is imprisoned in Papudinha, where he is serving a sentence for an attempted coup d’état. The minister even authorized the visit.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs told the minister that the visit could constitute “undue interference in the internal affairs of the Brazilian State”.

Flávio and Eduardo’s activities abroad, promoting meetings with radical right leaders in several countries since February, have put the Lula government on alert in relation to what they see as an attempt by the Trump administration to influence the October elections.

The recent movements of a wing of the American government in relation to Brazil are already seen as interference in the country’s political scenario.

In the Lula government’s view, the Trump administration’s discussion about classifying the PCC and the CV as terrorist organizations meets the agenda that Eduardo and Flávio have sought to build with foreign authorities, especially the American ones.

Bolsonaro supporters who work with US authorities see this as an advantage to convince Trump of the need to make gestures in support of Bolsonaro’s son.

The reading among observers of the American administration is that Trump does not like losers and this would, for example, be similar to Lula. Since Flávio has reduced the distance from the Brazilian president in polls, the game can be changed so that Trump declares support for the Bolsonarista senator, for example. Or, ultimately, do not recognize the electoral result in a scenario of Lula’s re-election.
