Fluminense beats Remo away from home and enters the G4 of the Brasileirão

Fluminense beat Remo 2-0 this Thursday (12), at Mangueirão, in a game valid for the 5th round of the Brazilian Championship. The goals of the match were scored by Jhon Kennedy and Canobbio.

With the result, the Rio club rose two positions, taking 3rd place in the table with ten points. The team from Pará falls to 17th place, occupying the relegation zone with three points.

How was the game

The Remo fans got excited six minutes into the first half, when Alef Manga received a throw from Pikachu and advanced quickly in a counterattack. However, Fábio anticipated and managed to regain possession of the ball.

In the 11th minute, Fluminense arrived at the edge of the area exchanging passes, Savarino infiltrated from the right and found John Kennedy in the area. Instead of finishing, the attacker fumbled, but managed to return it to Martinelli, who shot wide.

The Rio team opened the scoring at Mangueirão soon after. After a corner kick, Renê was left with Lucho’s cross and hit the cross. John Kennedy stretched out and headed towards the back of the goal. Afterwards, Canobbio almost expanded when he hit the post.

The number 9 found the net again in the 27th minute, but the shot was canceled due to offside.
