The footballer starred in the Bucharest club until August 2024, when his career was unexpectedly stopped by serious health problems. His body gave up right on the pitch – brutal fatigue, dizziness and bloody symptoms did not allow him to finish even the first half.
Right during the match, his eyes suddenly went dark and an ambulance had to take him off the field. However, February 28 became fatal for him, when he felt sudden nausea while walking with his family and collapsed. In the last minutes, when he felt that the end was coming, he managed only one thing – to call his mother.
“Mom, mom, I can’t take it anymore,” he told her during the phone call. “Do you think I’m dying?” he asked her shortly after. His mom, Ana, immediately ran to a hospital in Romania. However, he found out on the way there the worst news. Meanwhile, her son died.
An autopsy later revealed the shocking cause of death. According to the doctors, the young man drowned in his own stomach acid. After he started vomiting large amounts of bloodhis body reportedly responded by stomach acid caused suffocation. Club Metaloglobus București said goodbye to him with an emotional message on social networks.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. His love for football and his smile brought joy on the field.” said the club. At the same time, he recalled his last match on August 24, 2024 against CS Afumați, when he entered the field from the bench for the last ten minutes. “Rest in peace dear Mano. Sincere condolences to the family. The entire Metaloglobus family stands by you in these painful moments,” the teammates said.
