Lula’s minister publishes content stating that the PT’s opponent in the elections has connections with the militia and organized crime in RJ
The Minister of Institutional Relations, (PT), shared on Thursday (12.Mar.2026) on her social networks an article which states that the senator (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency, has connections with the militia and organized crime in Rio de Janeiro. The senator has already denied some of the relationships highlighted in the publication.
Along with the video, Gleisi wrote: “Flávio Bolsonaro’s connections with the criminal underworld”. The son of the former president (PL) is the main opponent of (PT) in the 2026 electoral dispute.
The publication mentions a case, issued on Monday (9th March), which served an arrest warrant against the former Secretary of Sports of the government of (PL) Alessandro Pitombeira Carracena. He is suspected of having received bribes from a lawyer, also in prison, to interfere in the extradition process of drug trafficker Gerel Lusiano Palm.
The video states that Pitombeira was appointed secretary by Flávio, which the senator denied in an interview with the newspaper . “If I met him twice in my life, it was a lot. The person who introduced me was the state secretary of Consumer Protection Gutemberg Fonseca”he said at the time.
Gutemberg Fonseca, Consumer Protection Secretary of Rio de Janeiro, is also mentioned in the video, as someone who “appears in investigations involving contacts with the Red Command”.
According to , The PF intercepted dialogues that would show an attempt by the criminal faction to exert influence on Rio’s policing. One of the conversations suggests that Gutemberg had met with a member of the CV – which the secretary denies.
The publication shared by Gleisi also mentions that Flávio, when he was a state deputy in 2005, awarded the Tiradentes medal, at Alerj (Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro), Adriano da Nóbrega, appointed by the Public Ministry as head of the Rio das Pedras militia and the Crime Office.
Adriano was killed in 2020 during an operation by the Bahia Civil Police. Adriano’s ex-wife and mother were employed in Flávio’s office at Alerj.
The publication of the video by Gleisi was made at a time when several electoral polls show Flávio consolidated as Lula’s most competitive opponent.
Genial/Quaest survey released on Wednesday (11 March) shows that . Each has 41% of voting intentions.
