although it is delicious, has a lot of calories. Not everyone can eat it without limits, so it’s worth getting to know a delicious alternative. A light salad for Easter it is more dietary and will appeal to lovers of classic snacks. First of all, the fat is reduced – instead of a few tablespoons of mayonnaise, more natural yogurt is added. Moreover, it does not contain sweetened ingredients, such as carrots or corn, which are often found in vegetable salads. It also does not contain any caloric additives, such as yellow cheese, pickled cucumber or ham. But you don’t have to worry – it’s full of flavor. It is built by, among others: garlic, onion, mustard and herbal pepper. It’s worth trying a healthier option for the Christmas table.
Ingredients:
- 5 potatoes,
- 4 eggs,
- 100 g frozen peas,
- onion,
- garlic clove,
- 3 tablespoons of natural yogurt,
- a spoon of mayonnaise,
- a teaspoon of mustard,
- 1/2 teaspoon of herbal pepper,
- salt, freshly ground pepper.
How to do it:
1. Peel the potatoes and cook in salted water until soft. Cool. Cut into cubes.
2. In a separate pot, pour lukewarm water over the eggs heated to room temperature. Boil. Cook for about 8 minutes from the moment the water boils. Cool the boiled eggs in cold water and peel them immediately. Set one aside for decoration. Cut the rest into cubes.
3. Place the peas in hot water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 5 minutes. Drain and pour cold water to keep the peas nice color.
4. Dice the onion. Press the garlic through the press.
5. Combine eggs, potatoes, peas and onion in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise, mustard and garlic. Mix the dressing into the salad.
6. Season the salad with herbal pepper and – to taste – with salt and freshly ground pepper.
7. Put the salad in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavors mingle. Taste it and add some more salt and pepper if necessary. Serve decorated with an egg cut in half.
