Tarcísio nationalizes campaign to help Flávio – 03/14/2026 – Panel

The governor of , (Republicans), intends to nationalize a large part of his re-election campaign, criticizing the Lula government and the performance of the economy.

The option of not focusing only on state issues has a double objective: to help Flávio Bolsonaro’s (PL-RJ) presidential campaign and explore the flanks of his likely opponent, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad.

Figures from a survey carried out between March 3 and 5 show the greater difficulty that Lula and Haddad face in the state compared to Brazil, which encourages Tarcísio to nationalize his campaign.

In today’s most likely scenario, the president reaches 35% of the votes in the first round among voters in the state, against 37% for Flávio, a technical tie. In comparison, nationally, the PT member scores 38%, against 32% for the opponent.

Another example is the spontaneous poll, in which Lula has 25% in the country and 20% in the state of São Paulo. Flávio got 14% among the São Paulo electorate and 12% in Brazil.
